Purely design bugs won't be fixed, as it would cause mismatch

yeah, I hate to say that, but indeed it seems that most of these things, if not all have to remain unfixed if we want to keep compatibility. There is no way to fix the maps and keep it. There are a lot of glitches all over the maps in the game

but only chance would be a complete re-release of entire Unreal Map Pack.

At some point, compatibility should be broken.

What about binary patches?

Seriously, give Smirftsch a break, what ELSE should he do? Please see the importance of the patch itself...
edit: and no, he wants to keep the compatibility at all costs. Just look around here and you will see by far not all accept 227(g).. since its not epics work. Fanboyism exists everywhere...

I support 227 all the way, but remaking majority of the stock maps would take so much time and also break compatibility as Creavion said.
At the end of the day, it's just not worth it (imo)

You mean like those retards who eat up Gears of War content every day?
Just because something is unofficial doesn't mean it's BS. I'm still waiting on the final release of 227.

With dot's map fix mutator we can fix logical bugs, like pathing and such. but we can't fix BSP errors.
That being said, it's always been on my table to repath with dot's mutator and create coop bots that can actually play the map.. although thats probably just going to beĀ a fun trick no one will use. Still waiting on 227g to really want to do that..
