dots has done a really good job (well like always). UEd 2.1 is optimized for in the ed constructed static meshes. (smooth lighting for static meshes then). The UVs will also not getting screwed. Every test so far was very positive.

SM was built in the ed, first it was impossible to light it, it kept dark, no matter what I tried. But exporting and reimporting fixed the issue since .. from what I understood, during import the surfaces will be re-calculated with the lighting stuff thingy.
I found the fern texture on a website (even in higher resolution and of course not ready with alpha).

I would prefer to call them "BSP shadows", since they are calculated during lighting rebuild .. normally/so far only from brushes.

This is how it was so far... mover like those in dig had those black tunnels, very annoying.

Looks better with disabled shadowcast, just needs to be rebuildet.
