What's up people, i wished to know if this is possible, ive seen some pretty bad bugs on Rune Ed... thanks in advance

we only have the rune game headers, a new editor.dll could be compiled with these headers

Even then the dev team is too busy with the actual 227. Besides, if you really want to, you could use the 227Ed to create a map, then import it to Rune and add the actors you need.

This probably isn't feasible.

Rune editor is 225f editor with some changes, I don't know if converting UED2 would be possible.. and probably not legal.

Well, Rune comunity has made some patches for rune Unoficial ones, and the HumanHead endorse it totally, they love rune and they would like improvements, so i dont think we would have a problem with them making it, but we really need this patch, and i if know about programming ill do it, but im just a simple mapper

many things rely on way more than only Editor.dll - means bindings in Engine, changes in WinDrv, functions in Core. Partially it would be maybe possible, depends on what or what not is really in Rune's dlls, but then UED2 is still from Epic. So without official permission from them or HumandHead (but I think they would have to negotiate with Epic then too although I think they maybe have better chances than we) which resolves this, there is nothing (legally) possible.
But still the official sources are probably needed then for a full conversion.

Damn, rune is 10 years old, dont understand why they dont release this

Well, and what i can do? Ask Humanhead for source and to negotiate with Epic?

Or theres nothing i can do?

I doubt that they will give you access to the sources.  Rune is based on Unreal Engine 1 which is property of Epic. So Humanhead need Epic permission to release the sources and I don't think they will be allowed to do so. You see, UEngine 1 is a base for all versions which means that UE3 is based on UE2 which is based on UE1 and because of that Epic have never released sources to the public. Of course you can try :).
