Re: [227g30] ServerSaveInventory function
after some investigation we have the following situation:
Any inventory item which is more than the number of GiveItem's works fine. Also the inventory travel itself works.
It's triggered by GiveItem, but the real cause however is still unknown. Somehow the Items in GiveItems replace the traveled items.
Other mods with similar functions seem not to be affected. So we have to find the difference there.
Will continue to search.

Re: [227g30] ServerSaveInventory function
I've updated to 227G31 and it is still not working for me...
(227f conformed, 227f client, playing as admin, custom map server)
bDeleteTravelInvOnLoad=False
bServerSaveInventory=True
:-?
I will test some more...

Re: [227g30] ServerSaveInventory function
I can't test it at the hypercoop server because of a JCoopZ / 227G31 compatibility issue:
JCoopZ: Hyper.nl logged in with admin status.
JCoopZAMsg: Client reply check overrun: Hyper.nl -- Possible clientside anomaly!
NetComeGo: Close TcpipConnection 06/22/10 21:01:09
JCoopZ: Logout: Hyper.nl logging out
(JcoopZ kicks me for a client side anomaly. Maybe related to not supporting 227G31 or the 227f compatibility)

Re: [227g30] ServerSaveInventory function
Same problem at the normal HC server.
It also occurs when I use a non-conformed server and a 227g31 client.
So you should be able to replicate the problem with my test setup.

Re: [227g30] ServerSaveInventory function
What is strange to me about this travel spawn bug is that I was unable to easily reproduce it before g_31 on the setup I have. So it seems there are some specific conditions to your setup or installations that are different to ours.
This may be an unrelated, but do you still run both cooperative servers from that same installation using different INI file command starts? If that is the case, both servers are able to read/write over existing player entries in the same InventoryData.ini file. It seems there was an oversight to the ability to specify different server INI files for each server which may not run the same mods or want to share the same travel data.

@Zombie:
All my servers have their own system folders. They do not share system folders so they can get their own InventoryData.ini file.

Re: [227g31] ServerSaveInventory function
*sigh*
sometimes it can be really annoying, eh?
trying to find out what happens.
Edit:
I tried but can't reproduce none of the problems so far. Not with 227f client not with 227g. Not with conformed to 227f or 226b version.
Edit2: OK, after restart of the server the inventory is gone. Indeed I only concentrated on inventory after levelswitch...
Edit3: Found and fixed. (now hopefully for any cases,lol)
The login problem however I'm still unable to reproduce. But will upload g32 soon to test now.

Re: [227g31] ServerSaveInventory function
What happens if I remove a mod from my server that is present in the saved inventories of players?
Example:
A player has an aura.auraASMD in it's saved inventory and I remove the file Aura.u from my server.

Re: [227g31] ServerSaveInventory function
wait, so if we want to test out the 227g patch, we can actually download it? If so, I would be glad to participate.

Re: [227g31] ServerSaveInventory function
no its that easy
I have a couple of testers out of the community here. I need reports, intense testing. It's a lot of work and only of use if you do this work and report. It is necessary to make 227g as much bugfree as possible and to test the new features of course since it's impossible for me and the devteam to test anything to extent ourselves.
For SKW it was no question because he contributed already the oldsounds which are kinda popular.
