It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Menu in 227f
Can someone please tell me how I get the original Unreal Gold menu back in version 227f? Its been replaced by this menu that appears in the middle of the screen when I start the game up. I can't see any menu for activating mods. The only options are Game, Multiplayer, Option, Audio/Video, and Quit. Any help would be appreciated.

There is no Preference, the closest thing I got was Advanced Options, I changed the console to the one you said and it remained the same.
preferences -> drivers -> console -> UMenu Browser Console

You have to restart the game after that
and advanced options = preferences

Thank you! I tried that before but I accidentally switched back to the original setting before I restarted. I also saw something about 227g have more shadow effects?

And yes, 227g is having realtime shadows (but decal/projector based and not light source dependent), but you'll have to wait until it is released.
