It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

A week ago I wanted to do some testing with Unreal 227f and Aura and needed to grab some object names and properties. I tried to use EditActor class=(class) when logged in as admin at my own server, but it was disabled.
Can you please enable editactor again? Sometimes this command is very useful when testing/researching/debugging stuff. And I was logged in as admin after all...

Short answer: Not happening.
Long answer: You could in theory bypass the bAdmin check client side with a custom console to set bAdmin true and use editactor anyway.
If we added a replication statement of some kind to verify with the server you're badmin it could be possible.. but that would break compatibility.

there have been long discussions about it and those again and again.Thing is that it was disabled for security reasons because it opens a big bunch of possible security holes, especially for servers.

If you mean by "Security hole" as in the instant crash involving admin editactor, then why not disable the function on the serverside, leaving it only clientside?
I don't see how this breachs security other than the instant crash whenever someone does admin editactor as opposed to just editactor...
Or maybe I don't understand, but I agree with Hyper.NL in re-enabling the function during multiplay, just making "admin editactor" do absolutely nothing instead of crashing.

i'm not going to explain any deeper here, but there is much more than that and it is not that easy and possible "like making it client/serversided".

Not necessarily. If you absolutely HAVE TO you can always write your own custom console and tell UnrealIntegrity to allow it. You will need to specify the exact console name and enter it as an optional package along with its checksum. Since this mod is purely "client side" and only YOU as admin know its exact name and hash, there are no security implications at this point, as long as it is really a console you make exclusively for you and yourself alone and don't give it to anyone...Oh well. If you can use custom consoles online you're off anyways.

Would a native console be able to bypass integrity? If so, then I can name a few consoles capable of circumvating Integrity.Not likely on a server with integrity active.

I know integrity would block it, but that means almost no one uses integrity... Cause I can go to many servers with my console...Not likely on a server with integrity active.
