Make it working back like it was in original unpacthed version of Unreal? Pre 220 I mean. It was limited for deathmatch mainly, there was a timer on it. The old code is not there anymore however but it can be taken from old versions if it would work.

There was a timer on PowerShield? I don't think that would be such idea cause it's in DCrater, and it can even last until mothership if you're careful enough.

It was for DM, I think on singleplayer it worked as it is now...
You know some custom maps have powershield and in later patches it became pain beacuse the players were suddenly gods.
Overall DM was more balanced I believe. They didn't have to change that a lot of things.

Actually, its not there in Unreal beta, just in CD version of Unreal.
Besides, such a change (gameplay wise) would just cause a major havoc over the new patch then.

dunno if 227 still has that but if you get hit when having a powershield, the powershield's charge drops, but a second later it drops by 1 again. so this means there's a broken timer, right?

Yes but only loses 1 charge, not any more. Is it a bug or what?

Normal shieldbelt uses timer to reset the effect fatness (for dedicated servers network replication). However they left in the old timer code on PowerShield (probably forgot to remove it) without even calling parent class timer, which leads to a network replication error on dedicated servers; when you been hit once (with powershield), your effect wont show any visual "fatten" effect anymore.

i found out somethin weird. i got a powershield and set its charge to 2, then set an enemies projectile damage to 1, and when it took away the 2nd charge of the powershield, the icon dissapears but your guy still has it on
