First, OpenGL - it's good, somewhat faster and all, but somehow there are some problems with it - even when I launch Unreal.unr, some small parts get black for a second (it looks like BSP cuts but black), when spectating some bots (the ones with a backpack) I can see through some parts of the backpack. After D3D the world looks very bright, but that's OK as it doesn't cause strange non-realistic shadows that D3D with full brightness caused.
Maybe there is an update to OpenGL, which is better than the one that comes with OMP 0.2? As I can't see a big difference between D3D and OpenGL now. Also, there are very many options explained in the readme PDF of the OMP, but there are only a few of those options in UT and some are not explained. Why is that?
And OpenAL, I have to say that I have absolutely no problems with it. It's very, supremely cool! When underwater it has very lovely sounds and creates a different feel, while the sounds that are usually repetitive (like spawn, health pickup etc.), now it seems that they sound differently every time you do something. Also, I had problems with Redeemer 2K4, the sound used to stop after some time and then start again, and with OpenAL it now runs smoothly! The explosion sounds rock too, and my favourite's Pulse Gun's beam really sounds like a laser now! Good thing I installed this OpenAL patch
