OldUnreal (Engine)

I've been wanting to use my dualshock 3 for Unreal Gold. I can get the gamepad working great with UT2004 but for some reason not Unreal Gold. It looks like the options for joystick and settings in user.ini of Unreal Gold are very close to UT2004's joystick settings, so I don't know what the problem could be. I have enabled the joystick option in game and set up my axes and buttons in the user.ini file. Here is what it looks like:

As far as I can tell, I have the exact same setup working in UT2004 so I don't know why those settings wouldn't work in Unreal Gold. Anybody get a joystick to be recognized in Unreal Gold?

Hmm, playing FPP with joypad? Good idea! I played old Hexen like that and it was fine; the best you can use is:

Used it also to play DOS games via DosBOX with gamepad, it's easy and works with all games , don't need to configure each game in the game itself or program.

I was able to get my gamepad to work finally but only after I had reinstalled Windows and the game. All I did then was copy and paste my joystick commands from my previous user.ini file and enabled joystick in the options. T

Ugh Unreal on Gamepad. I prefer the Mouse over a Analog Stick anyday.

It is a Proven fact that the Mouse Increases Gamers Accuracy.

Interesting. To bad the reason for the initial problems remain unknown.
