I can see it fine, but I don't see anything that reminds me of much. I just see some pretty nice looking maps. Skybox kinda reminds me of some skies I've seen in Doom - TNT Evilution.

Well, if you look at the structure of the whole ship or bse or what it is, it reminds me stargate atlantis, also that texture with the shining text, it is like in atlantis on these stairs, written in ancient language. The docking section looks about the same as in atlantis.

I can't see a thing, it's too dark...
me2, I had to turn up the brightness with the nivia control panel to its maximum.
Whenever I see a a thread with unreal map's screenshots on any forum, I can never see a thing, always have to turn up my monitor's gamma to 2.0 to see what's in the shots.

I've contacted a member of the Unreal PSX dev team (Thanks Leo for the contact info) and asked about any content that he may have, and if he would be willing to share it.

Sounds like you also still have a "good" old CRT?! ^^

@content: looking forward to see that stuff, although I doubt it will be interesting as like the u beta (seriously, what is more awesome as aztec^^)

I actually asked this person about any beta versions that may have passed through their hands at any point, although the chance of this is very unlikely.

No harm in trying though :P

Nope, it's LCD. And there's a reason why OpenGL makes screenshots brighter when using the shot command/bind.

Actually I meant zerok but whatever^^

Difference between "shot" and F9 pressing? And only with OpenGL?

Why? I can change the gamma on my screen just as well?

No difference, only the renderer matters. OpenGL has a setting that applies increased gamma to screenshots so they would look like they are in game (since the game itself amplifies gamma when it's launched).

gamma corrected screenshots setting in render.

And there is also One X blending, which changes that way lightmaps are blended in the world. However, it makes lightmaps so much darker that I don't know in which cases it'd be better.

Ah, I haven't gotten to the Stargate Atlantis series yet, still working on going through SG-1 :P

You should watch Atlantis alongside SG1 since its eight season. That is up to the third season, from the later point on it only crosses the SG1 movies. There are explanations at wiki though where they take exactly place in the events, in case you are interested. I forgot it myself...

I patched to it and the release notes linked me to Epic's 224 release notes :-?

Aside from that, I can't find any actual method of checking that it is actually 225e, other than the file name. Is there a method of checking which build of 225 I have installed? (Similar to 227)

Sorry to resurrect this, but I came across a screenshot of an old article about Unreal PSX, back when they still thought it was under development. The screenshot has hilariously small resolution, but is still barely legible. Leo, you have probably already seen it, but I'm posting just in case.

"still" in developement? No, the developement was still in the early phase at that point. Remember it was only cancelled for sure around April 2000. With potential rumors of there to be a complete makeover, but that didn't happen in practice.
They even still seemed to call themselves Aardvark before renaming to Pterodactyl.

Funny though the screenshots shown is from the beta version of original Unreal.

Also I completely forgot that 225e was found in this archive, because I found it again during 2014 via a separate source but I suffered from amnesia in that year so this 2010 stuff I mostly forgot about completely.
