OpenGL Glitch ?

Post by marrs »

Hi,

after patching unreal with 226f and OpenGL Driver, I experience some strange clipping (?) errors - some objects are partially invisible, contours distort when looking at far away shapes and obnoxious black frames appear in some objects. I am using a Gforce 2 MMX and am generally sober when playing. I have the same problem with UT, but not with other games.

Suggestions ?

* Try an upgrade to the latest NVidia drivers (Just to be sure it's not your driver)
* Please post a screenshot of the problem

Hi,

due to the unexpected death of one of my hd I had to reinstall the whole thing and now the error is gone. The only difference is I didnt start unreal before applying the patch and the new GL Driver and I changed the game internal cache to 40 meg. As for UT - I hadnt the time to reinstall yet...

Thanks anyway,

marrs

Tee hee, a witty question needs a witty comment:

Did your HD get a proper funeral and burial? I hope you spent lavishly on a water-tight coffin and the proper insulation for the deceased HD...
As much as i try, i cannot seem to think of an interesting and amusing signature...I blame the stupid fools who stole all my ideas for decent signatures...

I usually cremate them in my microwave and toss the remains (microwave and hd) out of the window.

Good news is - UT is now lacking the glitch, too. Uninstall before patching ? Does sacrificing your hd please chizra ??

No, but i think drowning your HD would, what with chizra being god of water and all...

Try some holy water (which in actual fact is just highly acidic water, used against vampires and said to be 'holy' simply because it made them melt).
