help me been trying to install open gl for 3 day n

specs:
mobo: asus p4800 Deluxe ver.2 Pen 4.260. 512mb ddr . ati radeon9800 pro 128mb ddr graphic card . winxp .prof have all the newest driveres . ok unreal gold . cant find unreal.ini in system folder. only found unreal. is that the right file because that is the one i deleted unreal in system . then i extracted all opengldrv 21005 files 1 setup.exe 2 ucc.exe 3 unreal.exe 4 opengldrv.dll 5 opengldrv.int in to system started the game no open gl then i tryed to copy and paste the driveres from the install.txt it started the game opengl came up but when i tryed to connect to a server it booted to windows so i tryed 1 driver at a time no go i tryed 21006 and 2107 that day one day 2 bought new game tryed it all again on go that day 2 day 3 reformat the harddrive tryed all gain on go i need step by step help

When you miss your unreal.ini, it should be restored at the next Unreal stert. If it does not, uninstall Unreal and do a re-instell.

When you do not have Unreal Gold, you need to run a patch as well, Version 226 or eventually 224 are recommended when you use OldUnreal's OpenGL.

ok i went and bouth unreal and gold tryed the same opengl patch . no go its day 4 now this is what in the unreal ini when i start 1 translucency 2 volumetrilighting 3 shinysufaces 4 coronas 5 highdetailactor 6 detailtexure. when i tryed the patch it doesn"t put any thing more in i have tryed 25 times now to insall i am software illeteriate. so can any one tell me a step by step how to instell open gl on unreal or unreal glod. all. newbe need this help lol there most some one that will take the time to do a step by step any and all help is greatly and most apperciated the newbe are what keepes unreal going dont let newbe go DOA lol

1. Get this patch for Unreal Gold:

http://www.oldunreal.com/patch/OMP-UGOLD.exe

2. Install it.

3. Open Unreal, type preferences, go to drivers, and select OpenGL

4. For advanced options, read the manual.

5. YOu also might want to try to OpenAL sound driver, but I would recommand to first try to get OpenGL working
