It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

UT now belongs to the "old" Unreal as well. Supporting it for OpenGL and Sound its time to put up a board now.

Hi,

I've seen these running on servers on the net and would like to download and install them on my private practice server, I of course will have the .u files as these are downloaded when you join the server but would prefer to have the install packages so I don't have to try and reverse engineer the .int files :)

Anyway the ones I'm looking for are :

mcslc-snipe-MHv2
MHMayhemv2
MHMayhemv2StrongMonsters
Redeemer 2k3
Monster Hunt 2 Player stats
Monster Hunt 2 Player logging
MHPinata

Yeah I tried google :)

If anyone knows where I can get the install packaes for these I would be greatful.....

Open the config file in your cache folder and search the listed file numbers.
Then rename the uxx files and you can use them in the normal folders ... .

Yeah I have UT Cache cleaner 3 which I believe does this, but I don't think the .int file is downloaded from the server, so you have to go digging through the uscript code in the .u file to re-create it....would just be easier if I could download :)

Anyway I found mcslc-snipe-MHv2 (well re-created it's .int) and MHPinata, but still looking for the others....

A couple of those mods are part of a larger package:

and require the use of MonsterHunt2 to function. Let me know what you want to do with them and I'll see about maybe splitting them apart. Also the entire source code link is included for MH2 so you are welcome to part out what you might need if you have that ability and inclination.

Mayhem is mine also but MH2 is superior in many ways. I'd run it if your server can handle the extra stress, it has every mod on your list embedded into it already.

Lastly, the MHPinata code is old. If you are going to use it as a single mod, let me send you "YardSale", which is Pinata coded a bit better (the original throws access nones at times  [smiley=embarassed.gif]).

Any chance of a 227g port for it? I love this mod and a new version of it for Unreal would be freakin awesome...

Sure it could be. The Unreal code caused me the most work to be honest. All through the code you'll find specific references to it as I worked hard to preserve the U1 style maps in exactly the way the mapper wanted them played (bandages anyone?).

The U1 weapons are all OldSkool, but that's how Shrimp brought them into MH.

If one of your resident coders would spend a little time on teamspeak with me outlining what I'd need to alter I'd be glad to make a version for you. Several long time posters here have helped me selflessly over the years, I'd be glad to give something back.

Not me I don't think I don't intentionally teamkill, of course sometimes it's unavoidable if someone steps out infront of you just as you fire.....

For verification if it was me the IP I'd be connecting from would be a .demon.co.uk address if you do an nslookup on it.

Actually I've mostly been playing on the team sniper MH server recently.

I still can't understand having team damage in MH. The maps are all 256 units wide hallways and the monsters have 20,000+ health. Team shooting is unavoidable unless you just want to sit behind the two guys in front and just watch them. Might work in a sniper style MH server but all I see is that it creates issues in dU and for Fuzz that shouldn't be something that needs attention. Players get uselessly banned or kicked (I was kicked from dU once and I'm a total rules follower, it was completely inadvertent. The player stepped in front of me as I was minigun locked then complained. I never went back).

Fair enough prime. Not to worry. The IP I have is a US IP.

Gopostal, we've had this conversation before and I still stand by my choice to have team damage at 10%. The  added challenge  encourages teamwork and makes a player think before he or she fires or blocks someone else's fire. Most players abide by this without a complaint. So far, it's kept Fuzz_Ball's Funhouse in the top 100 according to Gametracker.

While some collateral damage is to be expected, there are those annoying creeps who, when a room is cleared, see it fit to relentlessly riddle teammates with automatic fire until dead. That behaviour is simply not tolerated.
