It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

How do I record / replay a demo? Where is it saved?
Recording and replaying demos is done with Console-Commands (see chapter 3.4.1):
Start demo recording: Demorec
Stop demo recording: Stopdemo
The demos are saved in the ..\UnrealTournament\system directory with file extension DEM.
Start demo replay: Demoplay
The parameters for Demoplay are:
?noframecap noframecap plays the demo back as fast as possible. This option is assumed if timedemo 1 is enabled.
?timebased timebased gives a smoother playback if the playback machine is significantly slower than the recording machine.
?3rdperson 3rdperson lets you fly around a first person demo as a spectator.
?loop loop makes the demo run endless (works from patch 413 on)
For example: demoplay mydemo?3rdperson?timebased
In 3rd person view you can switch from player to player by hitting the fire button. (Problem: See below)
In any mode you can use the BEHINDVIEW console command to switch view.

You can't *convert* them. Yet you can recapture it from your screen and save it as an AVI file.

Thanx, I already found info about MovieUnreal++
But I have new problem. When I trying 2 run a demo, game crashes with loooooong error message 8( Patch v.436. I tried 2 run demo with UDemoManager -- it is'nt help 8( What can it be?

If you have U1 too, maybe you should try record and play a demo there so you can see whether is the problem in your comp or teh game. BTW, what gfx card do you have? Something old, new or something in between?

Dunno for sure if that also aplies to UT, but for Unreal you can only playback a recording if the playback is done with the exact same setup. Which means if theres a mod running or a certain patch installed, the playback needs to have all those. Oné part missing and playback will fail.
And i asume this aplies to UT as well.
As for recording you could use fraps from www.fraps.com
