It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

What do you think about the project Battle for NaPali by Team UnrealSP ( http://www.hellscrag.net/unrealsp/ )? I'm trying their Deja Vu and it really looks and feels professional, just like Epic made but some things are even more interesting. Like the battle between Skaarj and Krall :) And BfNP would be even cooler, from the snapshots it looks it is very advanced! Snow effects and things like that, if only UT had texture movement sounds (and landing sounds) it would be supremely awesome. "the frozen vale" snapshot looks cool, frozen bridge with transcluent ice... The geometry looks cool, but unfortunately not many people are working on it now. I still can't wait to see the final release or an alpha. They even created a female Nali!

So what do you think about the project there?

Yeah, that looks pretty freaking amazing and is seels like a LOT of thought and work has been put into the project (i.e. new weapons, creatures, decorations, etc.) other than the main job of mapping and creating a good storyline. I would like to try doing something like this, however at the rate that I am mapping now it would take me decades! :P

Yea, my state is somewhat the same :) I'm trying their mappack Deja Vu 2, seems like a few earlier screenshots are from that pack. It's very cool, kind of Epic-styled but more fun in some cases and are some interesting things there, like battle between Skaarj and Krall :) And the Chizra Palace looks very cool!

The same site I stated in the 1st post, look left and there you can should see Deja Vu.

This will be a free pack, as is Deja Vu.

Funny that this topic is talking also about Deja Vu. I'm not sure if you know Great Emerald, but I'm an in the process of converting that pack to unreal 1.

I'm about 90% done the full conversion and am talking with hellscrag on fixing some final bugs. The public release should be in the next couple of weeks :)

Someone should suggest to the creator to let others help create it, into UnrealTournament...

I think the "coopgame2" mod would be able to handle it...

I realize that the Battle for NaPali project has been haulted but does anyone know if or when the project might be completed. It just seems a shame that so many good maps, mods and other features might not even see the light of day... :'(

I know, but it'd be a good idea if the people here add to their efforts, and even expand into UT, which may have more people playing in similar games of coop... I know the people at Destination Unreal play MonsterHunt...

I see your point, but that doesn't mean you can't import the game over to UT and then format it to coopgame2...

I would love to see more mountaineous and snowy environments...

Well, I know it's an old game, but they could at least reach out for help...

Unreal1 is classic, and I think the loss of the minigun is a little upsetting. I would however like to see some more environments and less of the razorjack, but wth?

Residual Decay seems to be a great job, i hope to see (and play!) it soon!!

but there are single player mission made for UT2k4??

Residual Decay is a sp mod I've been waiting for years now. It's continuing storyline from 2 prequels and the promising story of itself, in addition with it's countless new technological advances for the UE1...

I just have to get my hands on it.

BfNP, well, I've anticipated that one, as well as another sp mod called The Chosen One (which is about to be completed) for some time now too, but they don't get me as excited as RD. *Almost*, but a little bit less :D

But while you guys wait, you can always play Deja Vu, Xidia Gold, 7 Bullets or the recently released Project Zephon. Great SP mappacks imo. They're all there at unrealsp.org

And there must be SP maps for UT2004, I didn't check though. I'm good with Assault.

Interesting things there Madis, I never got time to check most of those.

Unreal Classic's map (Chizra) is just copy-paste (textures was made from scratch), it's nothing you won't see in Unreal :). In the other hand it's just a sample map, to show how use that menu system/gametype.

Returned to Nyleve is more interesting, but it could be far more better.t
