OpenGL

UT now belongs to the "old" Unreal as well. Supporting it for OpenGL and Sound its time to put up a board now.

OpenGL

Post by WileyPeyote »

Hello,
I must be missing something...the readme says...
Those textures can be found on the 2nd UT CD (check the tools folder in your Unreal\System dir for the
converting tool and a howto) and a new project is working on a reworked textureset for Unreal as well.
There is no "tools" folder on either CD or the game directory. Also, it says the "Unreal/System" in the readme? What am I missing here?

So my main question is, where is the converting tool and howto?

Thanks!

Theres a few things i am missing.....

- Where is the readme from ?

You posted in the UT section, but that readme speaks about conversion, but as far as i know the UT S3TC textures do not need to be converted for UT, they are UT compatible already.

- So what Unreal are you using, Unreal or UT ?

The readme is here: http://www.oldunreal.com/patch/Oldunreal-Multimediaupdate.pdf

I have UT...the readme confused me I guess as in that part it is talking about Unreal. I guess the "tools" folder would only show up in the Unreal patch. So, for UT is all I have to do after installing the patch and following the readme setup is copy the S3TC textures from the 2nd CD to the UT textures folder?

strange, i did a update of this text, somehow it got lost- arghs, the conversion tool is only needed for Unreal, with UT you can install the cd directly without converting something, just switch to OpenGL and you can enjoy them :)

The conversion tool is only installed in the Unreal versions, because of that it is not needed for UT

Will do Pitbull. I just reinstalled UT after playing UT2004 since it came out. I might just install Unreal again too:) What was your other name?

Back to the OpenGL...I installed the textures and everything runs great except I have one problem...it seems UT is running in a different resolution or something. There is about 1/2" of black screen at the top and bottom and about 1" on each side. I am running the desktop and game at 1024 x 768. I tried some different resolutions for both but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas? I have a 6600 GT and the latest official Nvidia drivers.
