Sulferon scripted music

Unreal2 seems to vanish more and more too. Time to put it up here :)

Sulferon scripted music

Post by Dozey »

I've detected that there is a scripted music on the suleron_attack and sulferon_defend. It was playing different parts of music when there was no action and there was fight with Izanagi soldiers and the last one - ending part of music when level is done. If this is possible to make a similar thing into Unreal 1?? Music Event actor combination??

You can choose a specific section of the song you set in the level properties. Music Triggers can be used to change the music during the game.
You must construct additional pylons.

Unreal II music package is floating around on the net somewhere, I think it's on Fileplanet. It includes all of the music. U2XMP/UTXMP also include some of it, but not each of the tracks, and doesn't include Sulferon.

some of the musics from Unreal2 come in easily readable .ogg format. Others are scripted and come in an exotic format that cannot be read or opened by anything but the game.
You must construct additional pylons.

This music pack, if it is the one I remember about, includes mp3 conversions of all the .ogg music files, but not the scripted files (I think they are .con files or something like that).
You must construct additional pylons.

No, you got the wrong one, then. It's called a "remix" there, because someone did manage to convert the .cons, just had to assemble them by providing the sounds, so the sound might not be 100% accurate... But at least I can't tell the difference.

Oh, good news. Then it would be helpful if someone could upload it somewhere else than on fileplanet. Somewhere where you don't need to register...

Uh, you don't need to register there. I don't know what century you're living in, since they stopped requiring that a while ago :P

Also, here's a link for you:

Nothing found with Sulferon.ogg or Sulferon.s3m, so I'll convert already using mp3 to umx. I know - I lose a lot on quality but I have no results with foundng it.

I quickly ripped it with the Microsoft Direct Music Producer and converted it both to mp3 and ogg with Winamp File Writer plugin. Have fun!
