how to start playing online

Since i never played unreal 2 online i'm now downloading the xmp mod.
but what do i need from patches, security, mods,..... to be all updated and ready to play online?
And is there some online coop gametype too? would be cool.

seems that i need community patch for it to work with the anthology, found it...

well nevermind it seems all master servers for U2 are down and there are no servers, the game is simply dead....

ye XD last year it was 3 servers with 0 ppl, so i guess LAN is the only way these days

There's a new master server but I don't know it's URL.

Just use the Community Edition, it has all the things set up:

i have the community edition from that same site becouse i have anthology and the normal xmp does not work with it.
so community patch does not really solve it their master server is down aswell.
its best to grab some players together from the board and arrage a game to have some fun.

lol but I think in Unreal if someone is named, for example, "Player", then nobody else in the same server can have name "player" or "PLAYER", etc.
