Thievery was AWESOME, i've been quite an active player around '03/'04, i'd probably say its the most brilliant mod i've ever played! One of the deepest, and most entertaining multiplayer experience i've ever had. I'm surprised Thief 3 or any sequel didn't take notice of the gameplay of this mod!

I tried to get back to the mod not so long ago, but for some reason i couldn't get into it, people were playing really "hardcore", i got warnings for "going my own way" and i easily got kicked because "i was being a noob and wasting a player slot", i miss the days when the whole game was about clumsy people lol.

If you tried thievery at non-official server it can be, but it could be better if you tell on what server and with what guys did you played, in that way we could do something.

If that bastards were at official servers, then admins (Brody, Getty or Shug) can just ban them. Other, more polite players also will help you.

Huh. People still play ThieveryUT? Last time I went on I didn't see anyone playing it.

It's pretty fun and I know of one person in particular who would go crazy if there was still a TUT community/server to play on.

in last autumn Mockers guild made some stuff:
1. they created "Pro" mod for our game that make gameplay more balanced:
a) newbies thieves when playing against experienced guards have more chances to win;
b) and professional thieves can't rush across the map any more, they're using more carefully stealthy tactics instead
c) also some exploits were removed
d) decoy arrow now is more useful than it was
2. Mockers start up thievery server in USA with their "Pro" mod
3. And created interesting guild site about themselves

Now we're playing on bug-fixed maps (Bandit and Trapmaster work)
and thievery community have 4 mappers working on new maps currently.

Hmm, maybe its worth a try again, if people are a bit noob friendly i guess i can give it another go
