Hello!
I have again a question which exceeds my uscript knowledge which are nonexistence by far!
Is it possible to tell an inventory item to overlay a modulated texture over the whole HUD while the item is active without creating a new HUD class and gametype?

It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

As far as I remember, RenderOverlays is called for weapons only. I don't see any other function in Inventory/Pickup that might work for a non-weapon inventory.
In 227, additional HUD items can be drawn by a HUDOverlay (the number of overlays is not limited).

Awesome! Thank you very much! I was able to realize the idea I had and added my overlay in the weapons

How did you do it, Krull0r? Did you do what Masterkent suggested? Seems like a neat idea so I'm thinking I'll try it as well.

Yes I put the code into the function RenderOverlays into my parent weapon class 
Since the player always carrys one of those weapons it was the best solution for my uses.
