It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

I know how I would go about making a toggle for this as an option using my .int or by adding a key bind, but how are some ways that I can make text appear over an actor? Does anyone know how the highlighting and text displaying was done in Deus Ex? I need this for some testing purposes, logs are good and all but having to close out to read what all is printed when testing tick actors is really kind of a pain.

One thing I thought of is something that Borderlands and Unreal 2DSP (an Unreal Tournament '99 side-scroller shooter mod that lets the player move an on-screen reticle around with their mouse) both did, which was spawn an actor that has falling physics that flies off a target when shot, which would display damage text with an in-game font.

On an unrelated note:
The HUD is displayed through the viewport... somehow, but any textures displayed on the viewport that make up the HUD can be overlapped by Map geometry, sprites, and 3D models. Why is this?

Also if anyone could, would someone direct me to where I could figure out how tomake things appear on my HUD, or a uWIndows tutorial for Unreal 227i?
