It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

I wish I had 3D Studio Max ... but I don't !! I got X-wife, kids and NO $$ ;D ... so anything over the $20 US I paid to register MilkShape3D is impossible til ... til the earth gets sucked into blackhole in center of milkyway - LoL ... or the kids make enough $$ to support me in my old age (and then I wake up broke) - LoL !! :P

I got MilkShape because it was an inexpensive modeler with UT figures to play with ... and I wanted to see how meshes were done (when I first cracked UEd).

Except for my PC itself - which took me 9 months to save up for (parts only ... I had to build it myself ... got a real nice one though but only 40 GB Diamond Max ata-133 IDE hd cause I ran out of $$ for the RAID o SATAs I really want ... had to settle for 9600XT too, instead of 9800XT and bigger).

Everything else is a gift from somebody ... including my Windows XP Professional VLK Corporate OS !! Ran out of $$ for the OS itself ... big thanks to my buddy for that one !!)

So I try and make do with what I can (sigh - sniff sniff) LoL :)

well as i still live with my parents with not a single income i can say i have a hard time aqcuiring the money for anything including a decent rig (parents old pentium 2 over here ;) ) or even a cheap modelling program (milkshape, gmax, maya demo).

luckily i got my copy of 3dsmax from a nearby university a long time ago, my brother actually sort of borrowed it for me before he left there ;D

i wrote a small bit of the tutorial this afternoon, but stopped after waiting 2 hours for another render while i was experimenting with even more detail on the terrain.

Yeah parents are like that.  :P

I left my boys 466 Mhz Celeron with Voodoo3 card ... and I got the nice AMD 64.

But the oldest showed me - for his science fair project he extracted DNA from celery using household ingredients ... the Franken-Punk !!

Got a "medal" for the project, though. I'm VERY proud of him.  ;D

He gets his smarts from his mother, and his looks too - his gaming addiction (he's got EVERY console and 100s of games) is from me.

Ya know how people have "fake" personalities online ... well I do ... "goodie-twoshoes" is my fake one.

In reality I'm a tattooed, foul-mouthed asphole !!

And I don't mind getting free stuff ... in fact, if it wasn't for my buddy being head of IT dept I wouldn't have my Windows XP Professional VLK Corporate OS !! Didn't have to DL it ... he burned it on CD and drove the copy over to me !! I'll give him a call - LoL. We'll get drunk, trash talk the human race, and burn illegal copies of progs.

But "sssh" don't tell anyone ... I'll lose my job - I'm in Corproate Security and Private Investigations ... and I gotta keep my Dept of Justice clearance OK !!

What Xavious means is peer to peer downloadprogramms.


E-mule itself is freeware, it is alowed to offer this programm, your just not alowed to download the downloads ;D
