Like in topic: are you planning to make a Linux version of of unreal? Since there is not any version of Unreal (any possibility to play under Linux is old school under Loki installer of UT) there is an obvious question, while you have an Unreal source, are you planning to release a full featured a native support for Unreal? It would be usefully especially for server.

It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Re: Unreal 227 and Linux
I think coding the engine to run on Linux would be a very big job, maybe UTPG have already done that tho so it 'might' be possible but not likely anyway.
And if by 'full featured native support' you mean public C++ headers then 99% chance that is a big no because I plan to have the 227 patch made very secure. (the UTPG version is quite secure atm but getting it working is a big problem atm)

Re: Unreal 227 and Linux
the answer is: i'd love to make one, but as shambler already said, working in our free time, aside usual work and life, its probably to much work, especially in a considerable amount of time. So possible, but unless i win a lot of money very unlikely, because is simply can't afford the time necessary

Re: Unreal 227 and Linux
When I consider the limited % of Linux users in comparison to Windows, and the limited time Smirftsch has I rather do not see any time spent on a Linux ver now.

Re: Unreal 227 and Linux
sure, to run linux via wine isnt new, using it for years now, but still a native port would be nice, especially for server purposes...
For mac...probably no chance, i don't own a mac, and i can't afford one, especially not with all development tools needed for that, sry.
