have unreal gold, with the latest patch. The textures don't look all that great, but that not the biggest problem. I don't have any decals. Even when i enable them in the preferences menu, they still don't show up, and when i go back into preferences it is turned off again. I have min. framerate at 0, but that didn't help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Try the different rendering options like D3D and OpenGl. And if your video card supports it, try the special OpenGL drivers from OldUnreal.
You also might want to try to update your system and graphics card drivers, if you don't have already.
