Strange mouse behaviour

Post by [GOD]Anck-Su-Namun »

I upgraded drivers for my video card, got rid of the old Asus drivers, replaced them with shiny new NVidia ones... but now when I play Unreal, it's like my mouse has pointer acceleration or something like that... It's really annoying when playing so I want to get rid of it, but I don't really want to roll back on to the old drivers...

It's an MS Intellimouse Explorer under Windows XP, video card is Asus V8200, running on NVidia 28.32 drivers, Unreal v224 with OpenGL renderer 2.1.0.4 from Oldunreal. DirectX 8.1 installed.

Anyone know this problem, maybe have a solution? Help would be much appreciated. :)

Hee dude :)

First off
- close all mousesoftware you may have running in the background
- lower your mouse-sensitivity in Unreal

Could you be more specific to the problem relating your mouse in Unreal?

Got a similar problem, I have test-installed XP once and installed the latest mouse drivers.

Mine is a Logitech Optical USB and I have made double extra sure that mouse acceleration is off, and on the desktop, it IS OFF. Even Quake3 plays okay without acceleration (though I think that game accesses the mouse differently from other games - not sure!?) but when I start any other game (like Unreal) I got mouse acceleration back.

Even checked registry, hacked in it what I thought might do the trick, with regards of the driver documentation from Logitech (they explain every registry setting in a text file), but to no avail!!

As of that, XP is no choice for playing right now :(
