Hi, I'm running Unreal Gold in Windows 98. I've tried patching it using 227f and 227g (after patching with the latter KernelEx is needed to run UnrealGold, but after patching with the former it runs natively). I have an Audigy 2 ZS card installed, and wanted to use the OpenAL audio driver provided with the patch. The problem is - when I move, the sounds (e.g. the insects in Nyleve) become very high pitched. I've tried changing doppler from 0.01 to 0, but no luck. This happens with both 227f and 227g.
I'd be very grateful if someone could suggest a way to turn off this doppler effect or reliably reduce it to negligible levels.

It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!
