All my thanks this year are going to the team who worked hard to create the new patches for UnrealTournament and Unreal.
Myself being bound to real life issues I didn't have much time to really work on anything, so:
Thanks my friends! Thanks for continuing my dream and thanks for continuing Oldunreal.
Mind you, family is the most important thing in the world.
I wish you all out there some peaceful days and a happy new year!

It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Do not forget UT2004's OldUnreal patch... I saw the news in UTzone.de - It might not be official yet, but the team is walking a long path to preserve these games for future generations, and I thank you all for the unstoppable work and support that keeps driving this community to new limits
Happy Xmas and a Happy New Year!

My all time games & software are UT +mods & Smuggler's Run 2 by Rockstar; on the other side FFmpeg (CLI multimedia editor) & Zstandard (add-on for 7zip)

...merry christmas and happy new year. I don't want to be dragging stuff into this thread so I'll talk about it in off-topic, however I do have something to say about the UT2004 thing. I didn't hear of it yet, however ut2004 seems to be the game least of need of patching currently? How about ut2003 or Unreal2? Especially Unreal2 could use to lift the stupid dedicated server limitation and bring opengl to the table, etc etc. Because those things do limit the lifespan of the game.
And UT2003 is different enough in the feel, there are still people who play it/prefer it over the sequel which changed many things. Even though most of the content is in the game (ut2004 lacked few things though like the lavagiants2 map from the bonuspacks or the test maps) it is still different, vanilla deathmatch is frankly terrible on ut2004 without any mutators, while ut2003 at least feels somewhat fun to play on regular dm, they changed the aircontrol, the dodging and other things to make it different including the weapon balance.
