Shield Belt problem (both Unreal & UT)

Post by StalwartUK »

In both Unreal and UT I am currently experiencing problems with shield belts in both games.

In Unreal in addition to the usual energy field that surrounds the player there is also a different skin has been applied to the player model itself that should only be there on low settings.

In UT I'm having a similar problem except that the energy field is absent and the usual sound you hear when you recieve damage with a shield belt on is also missing.

I would really like to get it working properly as it looks like a sore thumb in comparison to everything esle.

I believe he means that he neither sees nor hears the usual shieldbelt effects.

I could only observe this behaviour on low detail settings so if that's not it I wouldn't know.

Managed to fix it by playing around with the OpenGL settings.
