It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Check if VSync is off. If you want more FPS than your monitor can display, it should be disabled.
You can do this in the graphics driver settings and/or in the advanced options of Unreal.

Sometimes you'll have to turn off the vsync through your gpu console. Set the 'global vsync' to Always Off, or just set Unreal to that if the gpu console allows.
I know this is the situation for Windows 10 (etc), but I'm not familiar with Linux.

never mind, I had the wrong config file; linux has it's own UnrealLinux.ini to edit
