Lots of servers kick me for using xconsole and ALAudio.
Is there some command line option to start it with an alternate UnrealTournament.ini that has those disabled?
Or do I have to write a bat script that copies the ini files for diffrent servers before starting the game?
For direct access use https://forums.oldunreal.com
It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!
If you have any further concerns feel free to contact me: Smirftsch@oldunreal.com

Re: unrealtournament.ini switcher
You could also copy UnrealTournament.ini/int to like AltUT.ini/int. This would still use the same User.ini/Default.ini/DefUser.ini, but you could use the different console and ALAudio.
Or just another link with INI=AltUT.ini option appended.

Re: unrealtournament.ini switcher
So
"UnrealTournament.exe INI=AltUT.ini" would run the alternate ini file?
Edit: yes that works, thank you

Re: unrealtournament.ini switcher
I think you could just make a copy of the .EXE, and it'll use a different ini?
eg:
1. make a copy of UnrealTournament.exe called georgemichael.exe
2. open georgemichael.exe and it'll create an .ini called georgemichael.ini and edit its .INI to be the same as UnrealTournament.exe's one, but without xconsole and OpenAL

You can use the original sound system it work fine.
I use to xconsole and the only server who kick it is a old outdated Assault server.
