It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

If Unreal 2 Doesn't Work in Windows 10, Try This

Unreal2 seems to vanish more and more too. Time to put it up here :)

If Unreal 2 Doesn't Work in Windows 10, Try This

Post by Fred »

I posted the following information in the Unreal 2 forum at the beyondunreal site. This adjustment helped get my Unreal 2 working in Windows 10:

If Unreal 2 Doesn't Work in Windows 10 (After New Install or Reinstall).

Change the Unreal2.ini (for those who don't know, it's in the Unreal 2 System folder-you may have to Search to find it):

In Unreal2.ini, scroll down to find the following line option:

Startup Full Screen=True (change to False and Save)

If the game still doesn't work properly, make the following adjustment in the Unreal2.ini:

Scroll down, and in the section:

D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice, change:

Reduce Mouse Lag=True (change to False and Save)

Now launch Unreal 2 and it should work. On the in-game Options, you may still have to click on Start full-screen.

Note: Changes to Unreal2.ini will not take effect unless you Save them, under File (upper left of Unreal2.ini)

Where to find Unreal2.ini: Typically it's found at following location:

C:\Unreal2\System\Unreal2.ini

The game may also be installed elsewhere.

Or simply use this: http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2.html ;) (and you get the correct(?)/old gamma management too)

The task is not so much to see what no one has yet seen, but to think what nobody has yet thought, about that which everybody sees - E.S.

How does dgVoodoo perform, compared to Reshade's Direct3D 8 to Direct3D 9 wrapper? https://reshade.me/d3d8to9
