It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Unreal 2 StaticMesh OBJ exporter

This is another simplistic tool to export a Unreal 2 static meshes as OBJ files, which can be used in 227.

All you need is to either drag and drop an .un2 map file to the U2ModelExp.exe file (or run U2ModelExp.exe ..\Unreal2\StaticMeshes\Janus_M.usx for example as shortcut or batch script).

It will create <PackageName>/<Static mesh name>.obj files at your exe path, which can then be imported in 227 editor. You can then lookup at U2ModelExp.log for lines about the exact textures each mesh use.

thanks. Though we usually just exported the stuff via t3d separately via ucc, this still comes in handy and eases the whole process (plus i suppose it might eliminate issues with certain meshes).

Updated this tool to also support UT2004 static meshes, it will also extract uv2 texture map as separate *_uv2.obj file, which Epic used in some rare maps as lightmaps.
It also extracts simple collision models as *.t3d file.

Also as per request updated it to support Star Wars Republic Commando static meshes too.
