It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

The reason I usually use "Software" mode instead of "3D" in FMOD / OpenAL is that music gets distorted when some effect is being in effect. For example, when you swim below water. Half-Life has the same problem (yes it has CD music but consider somebody running mp3s in the background). I don't assume there would be an easy fix for it, as I believe it's a hardware effect on the whole "WAV" out channel...

Hm, I have to test this. I can't remember ever having had this problem; while I have been using EAX for years. (First on SB Live! Value, Then SB Audigy Gamer and now SB X-FI ExtremeMusic)
