Description:
Basically VRND is a rebuild of the interior of the Notre-Dame cathedral inside the Unreal Engine using Unrealty.

Developer:
Digitalo Studios

Engine Version:
224 (Unicode)

Website:
https://web.archive.org/web/20040823030 ... oject.com/

Demo:
https://web.archive.org/web/20040724215 ... d_demo.exe

Notes:
Despite Unrealty using a Client and Content ('locales') concept VRND is a standalone program. For the demo to start properly you apparently need a have a (random) CD in your CD-ROM Drive.

Its not using Unrealty, this is standalone. The people also worked on Unrealty, some of them, but this shouldn't be said its using unrealty. It has the older unrealty file but officially its not really using unrealty. So its like they just reused something from there but otherwise its different.

This thing uses Unreal 224, and you can open the map just fine in Unreal if you have the VRND assets loaded.
It basically allows you to do anything God forbid inside the Nothre Dame Cathedral.

Whats a bit weired on the VRND page they state that the same team has created things like Unreality, but the standalone release of it was based on a later unreal engine version.

I think they are not just using some parts of Unreality, but more like a non UWindow version of the multiplayer component (with some fixed server?).

I could rephrase the relation to Unreality a bit, but in any case this would also need to be investigated a bit further.

In any case VRND will remain in the Unreality board as it is at least close related to Unreality and an own board for VRND would certainly be overkill.

It is because there were multiple versions of Unreality. VRND was created way before the latest version of Unreality was out there. Just like with tons of other stuff, this seems to be lost like many of the planetunreal featured unreal 220 mods (we never got the latest conquer the base again despite there being record of it released nor the more obsrucre stuff like unreal 2d and capture the cow).
