For direct access use https://forums.oldunreal.com
It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

As you probably noticed by now, my old forum is gone. This originally began as Winged Unicorn's forum for his MCoop2 projects and when Winged left I took over the contents for my own forum. BrakeDanceJ of UnrealDestination.com provided me with reliable forum hosting for years but recently it went down.

Instead of bothering BrakeDanceJ with another support request I decided to restart the forum here at OldUnreal. Most people of the community already have accounts here and my forum became too quiet already to require everyone to re-register. None of the old content will be ported over, but you are free to continue here about anything regarding Hyper.nl Unreal Services: My website, HyperCoop and my other game servers, the master server etc.

your old forum was like a time capsule since it was so old, so many topics pre dating my time in unreal and many oldsckool threads to learn things, would be asame to lose one of the oldest forums there.

Well, it went 404 (Read: gone) without notice. I do have backups of the forum database but as it contains personal information (User names, IP addresses, e-mail addresses, passwords or hashes) I cannot share it for privacy and security reasons.

That is true for the website, but not for the forums. While the forum list has been archived, the actual threads are not.

you could easily issue some offline clear IP/password/email thing and rehost the old db as a read only forum, i'm sure. maybe leave emails of the ones who left it public since they consented to leave clickable emails?

Yes, it can be reposted. I haven't myself visited the forum for a long time but hyper's forums was the first forum I ever registered in actually!

My english was really hardly parsable when I started I guess. Then came the period there and soon UnrealSP also with me uploading the unreal special edition to diehard and hyper mistakenly thinking it was skaarj slayer doing the upload (given what he said though it really looked like that at first). Which led to my first ever online argument on forums which didn't end up wrong in hyper's place but did end up very bad in unrealsp...

That requires database editing and hosting a MySQL + phpBB service, neither of which I have knowledge. And these require constant updating or they'll fall victim to bots and hacks. There was a reason why I did not host the forums myself. :-)
