It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

A helpful guide

Post by Smartball »

After browsing this forum for years and contributing every so often, I have noticed that some of the users could benefit from a little forum guidance.

A mod reset my post count* for something I claim I never did. There are no quotes or anything... Someone hates me and wants my reputation go low...

*this could be related:
Just noticed some warez links were posted here. I can not stress enough, this is not the place to make those posts. This is a sure way to get banned.  See number 7 on the following link.

http://www.oldunreal.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1208897525

Whoever is spreading lies, I will catch you. And when I do, you're dead.

EDIT: To prevent misunderstanding: I don't blame any of the mods for making something up. *Someone* either reported a post that never existed, or posted something disguised as me. Resetting my post count doesn't matter to me. But the fact that someone is doing this pisses me off. I will not let this happen. >:(

Not to off-topic in a sticky, but I believe IPs are logged with every post made, so an admin can probably tell if the offending post was made from another computer or not. Could be worth looking into, I dunno.

No one is spreading lies. The issue was over racial slurs made by you. Everything has been saved and documented. If you can not conduct yourself in a decent, respectful way you shall be removed from these forums. I think you should think hard about your posts. Making racial slurs and death threats like one of your posts above surely will only serve to get you in trouble.
