Hey, I just got a crazy theory about the N:

What if they are....
AGENT SMITH AND HIS TWO COHORTS FROM THE MATRIX.
I mean you also only destroy their "energy" and there's that picture in isaac's cabin and the unreal 2 final trailer was matrix-stylized and....
there used to be bullet time in the old alphas with the stasis fields tobe used by the stasis grenade...and they had real bullets and...it was kind of like fear before fear if....
okay I stop.
