OpenGl 2.1.0.4 no detail textures

Post by bloody »

I just got my geforce 4 and wanted to install unreal.
I stumbled upon this site to get a good patch to make the damn thing work with a non 3dfx card.

I installed unreal patched it up to version 224v and installed the openGl patch.

Ok, the game runs fine, but it promissed to make the detailtextures work.
I tried all the settings (even manually setting the ini. file) but the detailtextures don't seem to work.

What can be the problem?
I use Nvidia driver 29.42.

Maybe someone can help.

DetailMAx has to be set to 3.
DetailTextures ha to be set to True

Use the default OpenglRenderDevice options into the unreal.ini given with the dll

I have all that included in the ini. file. but there are as I said no detail textures. On my ol' voodoo2 sli it looked way better.
The lighting is also a bit lifeless, or is it just me, hehheh

Well then just post your nureal.ini, cause I'm using this patch on a geforce 2 and it works very well.

then u should recheck if the patch is applied correctly;  - otherwise sometimes the unreal.ini is fucked up, try to delete it, let unreal create a new one and apply the changes again.

Damn, i found it. When I installed the patch it didn't overwrite the opengldrv. So I did it manually and now it runs prefect detail textures and all.
Thanks again for this cool opengl patch.
