Re: [Released] The One

Hi Leo, no UT version is planned for this, I've considered the prospects of porting this to 226 or UT but it would seem a near impossibility without having to resort to removing a lot of things, it's a task that would be nearly impossible if you ask me, much alike to making a gameboy advance port of...

Smirftsch recommended me to close this thread and to dedicate a new one for the release, so I will use that thread for further posts, I suggest everyone to not use this topic anymore as well (until I can figure out how to close this topic :P ). [Released] The One

The One is a small/medium-sized mappack for the Oldunreal 227j patch, inspired by classic unreal community maps such as "Nali Cove", "One Day" or "Tashara’s Cove". But it utilizes oldunreal's 227j patch features such as improved stability and better graphical fidelity. ...

Re: The One - Upcoming 227J mappack in progress...

Still hyped for this. The screenshots look positively stunning, visually on-par with some of the best Quake mappacks that have been released in recent years, and make me feel like there's still a lot of potential left untapped in the game. It sure makes me wish the Unreal mapping community were as ...

Re: The One - Upcoming 227J mappack in progress...

Progress update: I'm slowly migrating everything to the 227 release, there's still quite a few things that need to be fixed to conform with the 227J release. With the help of ;..; I managed to convert most uscript code to 227J and I'm now going through each map to see what else needs adjustments mad...

Re: Duke Nukem Forever 2001 leak

So. duke nukem forever 2001 actually leaked. it's on archive.org. pretty impressive stuff they've got, even if its a bit buggy. Interesting piece of history you found there! I’ve been wanting to play the original UE1 DNF for a long time now, I’ve actually got into unreal mapping because of that gam...

Re: A different nyleve

Unreal dreams can be pretty wild yeah, often I get my inspiration from the crazy stuff that comes up in my sleep :D I remember one dream, a long time ago, I just completed Unreal and I was delighted to find out there was an expansion known as Return To Na Pali , unfortunately at that time I couldn’t...

Re: What if...? Unreal was an RTS.

If Unreal were an RTS I'd imagine it to look and play like Giants Citizen Kabuto , an RTS-FPS hybrid, great game and reminiscent of Unreal in so many ways: Much like Unreal it features huge outdoor area’s set on a beautiful tropical alien world, there is a marooned Terran faction intent on escaping ...

Re: Playing with terrain static mesh in 227i

Man that looks awesome! I especially love the attention to detail with even those trees casting directional shadows. Can't wait to play!

I've toyed with staticmesh optimization before, so I could test the performance part if you like.

Re: Serious Issue with editor

Sounds like an issue that I've seen before when dealing with large amounts of groups and objects residing in multiple groups at the same time, try typing "set actor bhiddened 0" without quotes in the command panel at the bottom of the editor, press enter to confirm and hope it restores all...

Lookin' nice, is that some time-of-the-day transitioning there? Edit: Just noticed your new post Turbo. Yep, indeed. The map has a day to night cycle. :) Another editor shot: Ah I saw that one on discord the other day, very cool structural detailing. It neatly pulls off that DM-Terra/skaarj mining ...

really awesome mod, very useful for playing in 1080p or higher :)

The only thing I wasn't all too fond of is the font used for the bigger sized text, I know uwindowfonts.utx has some bigger sized fonts, maybe you should look into those for appropriate big fonts?

Re: How to acquire unreal 200?

Wasn't the original US version v200? At least here in Europe the first version was v205, which is the version I had upon release. Iirc you couldn't find a version info anywhere, but you had to check the firstrun parameter in the unreal.ini file. As far as running Lemony Snicket on 200, good luck try...

Ah, i know this one :) In the preferences window, under game you can set your weapon hand, set it to hidden. https://i.imgur.com/SMsPkSM.png (screenshot is from 227, but I just checked afterwards, it's in the same place in 226b) The other way to set it by console is by typing "sethand hidden&qu...
