alright, I installed quickly a  VM with XP and VC6 on it, compiling the UTGLR renderer in 405.
www.oldunreal.com/temp/UT405/OpenGLDrv.dll

unfortunately I can't say how good it works, since 3D ain't exactly good in such a VM.
But give it a try and tell me how it does Smiley

Just wow!!!
This OpenGLdrv is the thing that was missing to my 4.05 installations;
DOM-Amazon, DOM-Radikus, CTF-EternalCave, CTF-JungleTemples (and all others) never looked better.

I have tested it with only these settings in UnrealTournament.ini:
[OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice]
Translucency=True
VolumetricLighting=True
ShinySurfaces=True
Coronas=True
HighDetailActors=True
DetailTextures=True
and it looks and plays exemplary. Smiley
I have tested it on my GTX 770 and on my Radeon 9700 PRO - on both machines it flies with very sharp and clear picture.
Two minor issues:
-in the intro-demo at the end when it shows sign Unreal Tournament, it has black background
-and this opengl driver is not recognized by the game and in preferences it says:
<?int?OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRen...
But that's no important really - works as expected and more in-game.

Are there any other settings that pertain to this _drv?

The problem that it isn't recognized is probably just that you don't have the .int file in your UnrealTournament/System folder:

Copy that into a textfile and name it "OpenGLDrv.int", then place it into System.

No idea about the black background right now, but maybe just some glitch with the 405 intro, since everything else seems to work. Need to check.

Now that's luxury. So this is Chris Donhal's Enhanced UT OpenGL Renderer?

I've used it on my UT 4.36 for great many years, I remember when it was still in development and I upgraded from time to time when new version came out and adjusted all the new kinds of settings.
Yeah, it's really impressive and thanks to you, Smirftsch, it is now available for UT 4.05 also. That is just wonderful.

Don't bother with that logo thing, though black rectangle doesn't show up in UT 4.36, we can just chuck it under chroma-keying issue of 4.05. Smiley
