What could cause all my animated textures to "freeze"?

What could cause all the animated textures in the game "freeze"?
Like a fire would not cast flames but a static flame texture only.

Check the value of NoFractalAnim for your viewport manager using the following console command:

get ini:Engine.Engine.ViewportManager NoFractalAnim

If it's True, set it to False to enable animations:

set ini:Engine.Engine.ViewportManager NoFractalAnim False

There were some bugs related to a Texture getting locked twice and hence discarding the bRealtimeChanged flag.

This could happen for example when a Texture was used as Skin and as Multiskin (in combination with envmapping iirc.) but there should be other ways to cause this effect too.

I can't tell whether this was fixed in 227.

Well. This phenomenom happens in the editor, in the game, on servers... Everywhere. The whole game froze.

what did you set
AnimTexFrameRate
in
[WinDrv.WindowsClient]
to ?

Perhaps try with a fresh ini...?
