S3TC Textures Extreme End?

Hello, everyone. I wanted to use the extreme end textures with 227 patch, and I'm a little bit confused. First, I go http://www.unrealtexture.com/Unreal/Website/Downloads/Textures/ExtremeEnd/StockU... and download everything, but there are no masterfiles. So I go to high end instead http://www.unrealtexture.com/Unreal/Website/Downloads/Textures/HighEnd/MasterFil... and now I see masterfiles. My question is, do I have to use both or just the extreme end textures without masterfiles?

Another question is about the unreal HD mod https://www.moddb.com/mods/high-resolution-unreal-skins/downloads/unrealhd-v1. I'm thinking of first applying the extreme end textures and then overwriting it with the unreal HD mod. Would it make sense or do you have any other recommendations?

Thanks in advance Smiley

Generally LightningHunter's mod is for the game's models, monsters, etc. and the UnrealTexture mod is for environmental textures like sky, grass, walls, etc.

If you have to choose use LH's mod. I spent a summer playing around with the textures he made and it ruined me to ever go back to default ones. They are fantastic.

Thanks for the reply! I might as well go with the LH's mod as well. I wonder if I can use both? That is, applying the texture mod first and then applying the LH's mod secondly?

LH's work is exemplary so I'd be surprised if there were actual conflicts. Try both, let us know how it goes. It's gonna be a beast on your system RAM but you will love the result.

There are consolidated master files for the 2 smaller sizes.
Just use the individual Extreme files, plus the pack with missing textures (taken from the High End collection).

Then as Gopostal says, add the HD pack by Lightning Hunter afterwards.

Do you have the HD weapons pack ?

Thank you so much! I'll just use the Extreme files only, and will also grab the weapon pack as well. I haven't heard of the weapon pack before Grin.

IIRC LH's mod does the weapons too.

Indeed it seems looking from the mod page.

And holy hell, the mod is amazing! I'm very impressed! To think this is yet an incomplete version...

Yes, in fact every 'UseS3TC' was set 'True' by default.

But hell, even with Ryzen 2600X + RX 580 it had 37 min fps in the map 'BeyondTheSun'. For other maps 60-75 fps without a problem though.
