I think everybody know this stupid bug, which is absolute hell for modellers.

While importing new models with textures lrger than 256x256, Unreal for some reasons displaces texture UV coordinates. And displacement grows in direct ratio to texture size i.e. the larger texture - the larger mismatch.

Does anybody knows how to fix this? The only method i found - move texture itself by few pixels in X and Y directions. That minimizes displacement but it still exist - when i fit UV in one place, i dont fit it in 10 other places on the model Angry

I thought that this problem will not occur in UEditor 2.1 - i use Unreal 227 editor to prepare models for UT too. But that also happened...

Sorry if somewhere here similar topic about similar problem, i did not found it

Yah, .3d files compiled with UCC have this bug (but maybe not a bug, I read somewhere that mesh coord are saved as bytes so thats why it's not preciselly) - not only texture coordinates are messed but mesh vertices too.

It's real pain and main reason why my new plants are still as .obj files in a map.. After compling, these models have visible seams-like unwelded vertices..  Undecided

It happens with Skeletal Models too....for unknown reasons

Can confirm, here's a comparison screenshot between viewing a model in umodel and in Ued2.1: http://imgur.com/vIlf6Fz

Note the mapping weirdness around the barrel and grill slightly above that.
