I was waiting for a UT2003 'Special Edition' (possibly 'Collector's edition') but as time wore on I assumed there was some serious slowdown in the chain of buyers, and/or that was simply that.

Anyhow, I had months ago almost forgotten about it, when he and it arrived today. Awesome day then.

The package is in good shape overall. I glued down 2 corners that were separating but otherwise, I just cleaned the boxes. It was previously opened, but doesn't have any significant damage.

7 CDs are included: 2 copies of the game, one Chinese, one English, as well as some kind of bonus CD, which is a functional copy of a old Chinese UT website. Not much there really. An odd video which has some odd merit. I will upload the content if any one wants it. The Duke Nukem is an ad inside the CD sleeve, not a game mix-up!

The manual has a lot of stuff on UT as well as UT2003; almost 50/50 split on that. A bit thick.

"Razor Jacket"

WCG card? Anyone? Has a scratch-off thing on the back. Win?

Other stuff in the box. No idea.

The CDs are in good shape, but need a clean. The backs are still dirty, so no pics. I put in the Bonus CD and no problems, so I assume they just need a wipe.

Very nice. I always wanted these back in the days, but it was difficult to get them here in Europe.

I sent a copy of the files to Delacroix, so he will have a look and post if there is anything interesting, I'm sure. Smiley

Why they omit UT from that Anthology of yours, i wonder?

By the way, i have a deep scratched promo-ish disk of Unreal (without patch, still showing the old menu). It had singleplayer (i don't know how long it goes) but multiplayer has limited maps. It was really weird version of Unreal i have.

I'll post it here when i turn back to home (you have to wait about two months  Grin ).

There were several of those, however some might be more rare, like the oem developement levels we're searching for that apparently saw a limited release in germany.

What you probably have is Unreal Special Edition that was also OEM, basically a shareware version up to Dark Arena and three dm levels (bayc, krazy, creek), some editions also had a creative mappack and a patch which enabled shadows on special 3d cards. So, basically this version got bundled with creative drivers, with riva tnt material and a standalone release too.

(unpatched you couldn't go to dark arena either, although I removed that limitation with a simple fix you can download here, don't just attempy to replace dark because the dark map is special one here)

There also was this bonus disc with french editions which had the votlan level (vortex rikers backwards with an extra room and monsters) from a certain group that also had an invitation to download more levels from them, which are now lost...

So I'm curious to hear what you actually have, given that some material from this period remains lost.

When you said "Unreal Special Edition" something flashed in my mind, probably mine is Special Edition. If needed -and if i can make an image of that scratched disc- i'd like to upload it (i guess that's not counted as pirate  Smiley ).

UT was banned in Germany, AFAIK.
