Is there any way you can play Unreal 2 cooperatively with other people? It would be awesome if there was a mod for it.

Legend said that Coop was not an option because of the way scripted events and triggers are dealt with in U2 (I took a look : it's a mess). After these there has only been vague rumors about possible coop support and nothing delivered. I see no reason to expect anything.

Well, there is one way. That is to remake all the maps in UT2004 with SP Framework or such. But that would be a long process and won't allow you to use dialogues and such. Then again, it's not like you want to have that while you're playing co-op, anyway.

Oh, and some of the weapons might be a problem.

Unreal 2 without the Atlantis parts actually sounds pretty good.

On the subject of weapons, would you like a mostly animated model for the Dispersion Pistol, GreatEmerald? It has the Unreal 2 hands and everything; I just need to add animations for the secondary fire.

Absolutely. That would be a great addition to the pack, and since I'm working on it right now anyway, I could even include it in the next release. Now if only the GEM-to-Blender script was finished and we could export the last weapons: Spider Gun, Takkra, Laser Rifle and Singularity Cannon...

Yeap, I got the message. Didn't download it yet, though. Either way I couldn't put it in RC3, since it would mean huge delays because the whole code needs to be written and emitters need to be ported etc. But I will add it into RC4.

The way i play U2 cooperatively is I summon in Skaarj or Marines. Unlike U1 or ut99, summoned in characters face away from you and if something is shooting at you the summoned in thing will charge and attack it immediately.

Now, summoned in Skaarj in U2 will turn around and try to kill you after they've killed whatever the other threat was... but they're usually pretty weakened by whatever they were just fighting so that's no big deal.
