Editor's acting like a 3-y-old

Happens with both UEd1 and 2. It foed up my map for no reason, playing things in the map twice as fast while you walk around, shooting at normal speed. Also when I move a brush, the small red cross thingy moves at normal speed while the brush moves 2x as far. A "!" in the map should blink once every 3 seconds, goes every second now. Coronas flickering.
I even tryed copying everything and pasting it into a clean new level, and that does fix it, but it always copies some brushes twice, so now I have 2 brushes over eachother foeing up the lot. Movers move twice as far as they're supposed to do, it's just madness..
Don't believe me? See it for yourself: LameVille.Unr
Everything is MyLevel'd. All is in Decoration and Effects.

Let me add some things to the list:
- Not deleting some lights and brushes;
- Freezing when I duplicate one of those No-delete actors.
- Says I selected 2 things when I select just 1, when I select 1 more brush, it says I have 4? 0.o
- Normal, unmodified movers giving infinite script recursions, wtf.

Anyone has an idea why?

Copying brushes, movers, lights cause sometimes these 2x speed and can't delete bugs (says you selected 2 lights even you selected one).

Export and import your map to a clean level.
For me that fixed almost all problems.

Just the same result as copy-pasting everything in a new map. Fxies most of 'em, but still copies some brushes/actors twice, giving me a hell of a job to remove em.

Hmm, so I just noticed that only actors that I placed after a certain savepoint will copy 2-3 times. Big chance that it has something to do with my mapping behaviour...(after every change, clicking save like 5 times, sometimes miss-clicking to save as..) I wonder if I can reproduce this.
Remember kids, backups save lifes.

Doubtful. I have similar habits, and nothing like that ever happened Cheesy Well, except that one time with UEd 1, when I couldn't delete anything. I don't remember if selecting worked there, though.

I use 226f. Why? Because I can't work with UEd2 that fast, im used to UEd1. So maybe the problem began there and travelled to ued2 when i tried that. Also (off-topic) I noticed that while 227 can run 226 maps, they still like to crash people... very educational..

227g will have a clean up feature for double actors Smiley

Open your map in the editor, and goto Compile Changed, or Compile All, and save it. That should fix it.
