Dm-Tube1 . . . . Author Jurz . . . . review by Flapjax

PROS

  • incredible
  • extraordinary maze-like design painted with pure imagination
  • perfect music selection

CONS

  • several BSP issues d:-(
  • only one place to cross the lava moat

(would have liked to have needed only the jumpboots)

the top is too dark for combat (I tried to adapt -but- found it too dark even for the zoom on the rifle)

COMMENTS

Incredible - just incredible !!! I thought the background was just for looks until I found that I could actually get up there !!! And those rising plasmas just stopped me in my tracks; mesmerizing. This is Over-The-Top surreal and I found myself soaking it up like a sponge. This map contains some of the most extraordinarily unusual and beautiful concepts and yet it seems to restrict the users access when there is no need to do that. There was found only ONE way across the moat, only ONE way to the second level, and only ONE way found to the top (actually 2 elevators exist). Why ?!!! DMTubes1 ... emphasis on the ONE I guess. I can't wait for DMTubes5 !!! Excellent scale for combat and a resounding "What A Map" !!! However, its shortcomings are needless ... give me, at least, three ways to (and from) everything important. Still, I haven't been to such a place since my overseas-military-marijuana days ... refreshing. d:-)
