PROS
* furniture placement Exceedingly well
oriented for player movement
* inclusion of the Unreal game CDs is
novel and a tribute to the game and this author's love for it
* nifty mouse holes ( like'n those ! )
[ hope I never run across a mouse with that kind of firepower LOL ]
CONS
* lackluster textures (see COMMENTS)
* skybox (window scene) doesn't work
for this player
[ it should ! - it is done correctly - but it doesn't ]
COMMENTS
Single room map design. Although
that MAY designate a "small map" asterisk in CONS, the
author puts the player m-o-u-s-e size. With this
scale ... it's a big room !!! It is easily traversed and one
is immediately given to recognize that the author has applied
considerable thought to player access. Well done.
Surprising how the selection of textures, plain upon appearance,
actually aids during game play. This author designs with the
"player" in mind. There is a visual reward for
those who find their way into the refrigerator. If the
entire room was as aesthetically massaged ... I'd like a room like
that myself. d:-)
For the author <> the music-light-box texture: in the editor select it, left click - when highlighted, right click - select Surface Properties (1 selected) - under Effects, check Unlit - close and rebuild. I also tried changing the SkyZoneInfo Properties / Display / Drawscale to 2 --- try this and see what you think. The problem with this, is it gives all the *movement* in the room to one area. d:-\ Oh, and put a pedestal on your computer monitor. I didn't recognize it as a monitor until I saw the keyboard ... nice touch !
