I heard about this game recently and decided to look into it since I essentially play the same game in a different stadium. I saw that most of your community consists of modders and I was interested in learning\involving in UScript for Unreal I. Are there any tutorials or anyone around willing to help get associated with what is what on here?
I have some experience in most fields of game design, but I question my education enough to make anything special on this.
If you want to add my Skype, my skypename is...
Skypename: jack.holiday1992
My nickname is DocHoliday because of the western doctor. But if you guys want to add me, its fine... I hope to learn something new...

Welcome to Oldunreal. You may find with the '227 patch' that Unreal 1 has more features than UT'99 and still runs with the original Unreal 1 frantic speed.
The scripting part is not department, but there's a lot of smart and talented people in this motley band of Unrealers.
As for your Skype question. Some us have a link to our Skype here at Oldunreal.

Ah I see, well I have been going to the UDHQ server on Unreal they have some pretty interesting programmers there. Server is getting populated 'lol'. Anyways, thanks for the information... I added you on Skype just in case you were interested. Same goes with anyone else around that doesn't mind company.

As for UnrealScript, well, UE1 generally uses the same UnrealScript through most of the games. Unreal is not that much special, except for the new additions made by the 227 team. Those can be found in the release notes, in the "new commands" thread, or just found while browsing through the code either in a local installation or in one of the online UnCodeX repositories. So where to start from depends on what knowledge of UnrealScript you already have.
