My friends at UDHQ have been working to bring Unreal a new (non-forum) community based website that can allow anyone who makes content for unreal upload and/or post news and updates about their projects on the site.

Come visit http://www.udhq.org to find out what its all about!

We are currently uploading a bunch of content that has been sitting around without appreciation for too long. We invite you to come check it out!

Hi IsUnreal,
I've just brought this up with the other site maintainers and we'll look into it. I'll update the post with where we decide to go on it.

I read the news on your Forum about you being Banned. Sounds like they have some Serious Issues.

Who wants to bet how long it will stay up before going down again?

I really like the mods you have in download section. Are you still adding more?

Webdesign from the 1990s, 3 out of 6 menu elements go to a "coming soon" page, and the last one doesn't work, which makes only 2 elements functional. That may not be the best moment to formally launch the website.

Also, I don't know you or the drama you're involved in on unrealsp.org, but a full length post on the index page explaining how you were banned from some place, don't care about it because they're all mean and a bunch of assèkisser anyway, speaks volumes.

I'll throw $5 in the ring in favor of it staying up for at least a year. But in all seriousness, the reason the site kept going up and down at various locations was because of a lot of internal issues with hosting logistics. Now it's hosted on a linux board (see: http://beagleboard.org/bone) that I use at my house for development and all hosting complications have been remedied.

@Hellkeeper Well. I had anticipated that some people would take the site the wrong way due to my recent involvings at USP and heavily reduced the length/rantiness of my post. The only reason it still stands is because the other site maintainers did not want it removed.

Anyway.

The point of this thread is to point everyone out to some interesting mods & stuff we're working on... Not to incite drama. Please do not comment on my controversial post here as I do not wish to bring any crap to OU. I have the utmost respect for Smirf & his work here on the Unreal patch and do not want to drag anything through the mud. If you feel the urge to discuss it please do so one-on-one with me via PM/email or outside of this thread. If you really think I'm an idiot, write me off as a dumbass and get on with it. The site will still provide content & a home for people to share their work & opinions about all aspects Unreal regardless of how much of a moron I am. ;)

+1 to Buster & Rob for "getting it" :-)

And yeah I'll be adding a ton more files after work today (~4 hours from time of this post). We'll soon be opening up accounts w/ or w/o file upload options for public users which is what I'm really excited about.

Even though I'm a fellow dumbasp/moron, I do "get it" once in a while. Lmao. It's rare, but it does happen.

:)

Oh yeah.

I love hearing comments about how 'ancient' looking my website is. I have been told countless times it looks like it was made by a child. Well, it was. Cole was 11 at the time, and we sat down with FPageXpress one afternoon.

So, it was made by a kid. Makes me giggle every time.

:D

Nice redesign Pcube, good to see the UDHQ up and running again! Although, the CIDEDM.u mod is missing a"CIDEtx" package, and BridgeTable.u is missing "TableSign2"

Thanks Gizzy! Jack really did an amazing job with the site design. Way better than the old look(s).

I've corrected the CIDEDM & BridgeTable downloads -- thanks for the tip about them being "broken"!

@Smirf Thanks!

@Rob Good catch! I've uploaded the file, but it seems there's a bug on the site with the link not updating.. I'll have to bug jack about it, but here's the link in the meantime: http://downloads.udhq.org/ECoop3.zip

I have updated the site with new downloads. I have released all of the files necessary to run a JGrass based GxCoop server. I will be uploading a video later showing how to set up a JGrass server & what configurables are at your disposal.

GL with your new website. :-)

Make sure you maintain a local backup of it in case the hosting is ending again.
